It's that time again to select our next UCLA Latino Alumni Association, Freshman Scholarship recipients! We invite you to volunteer for our interview day on Sunday, April 2nd. We are looking for 15 -20 full day volunteers to help interview our future optimists. If you have been selected to be a volunteer we will send out confirmations on Wednesday, March 29th.

Happy Hour After Office Hours
Professors in the Pub is a new event series from the UCLA Alumni Diversity Programs that brings you one-hour, guided lecture style discussions and performances with your favorite professors on culturally varied subjects. Join us for an after-office-hours chat and catch up on the fascinating research and work done by UCLA faculty.
All events will include a short presentation by the professor and will be followed by open forum questions.

Join professor William Purdy, M.A. '03, Ph.D. '16 from the UCLA Graduate School of Education & Information Studies for a conversation on the very early history of the university. Learn more about your alma mater such as how World War I, the film industry and the 1919 flu pandemic impacted the university as well as how the institution came to be located in the heart of Westwood.

In the pilot year of our OrgullOSO mentorship program for our scholarship recipients, ULAA is offering a series of events targeted to students' needs and development. The focus for winter quarter is career readiness and we can't do this without YOU!
You are cordially invited to attend the Networking Power Hour portion of the inaugural OrgullOSO Career Day. After brushing up their resumés and self-presentation skills, OrgullOSO scholars will practice networking with alumni they've never met - that means you.
This portion of the program will familiarize students with making connections in an open space, get them to practice their elevator pitches and break out of their comfort zones. If you'd like to help a new Bruin grow toward being a smart and savvy young professional, see the details below:
