The UCLA Latino Alumni Association (ULAA) is holding an election to fill open positions for officers. Nominations for officer positions are open Sunday, June 10 to midnight Sunday, June 17. Position descriptions and responsibilities can be found here. After reading over the position descriptions and responsibilities please nominate a Bruin on our nomination form.
As a member of ULAA, you play an important role in helping us maintain a strong, committed leadership that continues to sustain and build the Latino Bruin legacy at UCLA!
We encourage everyone who is affiliated with UCLA to support ULAA and help us advance our mission to empower Latino high school students, UCLA undergraduate, and graduate students, staff, alumni and friends with the resources and tools to achieve academic and personal success in our community.
In the past year, we have accomplished a lot, but ULAA strives to accomplish much more such as grow our endowment to $1 million! Take a look at our past year here.
Looking ahead our election timeline goes as follows:
- Nominations open on June 10th, the day after the General Meeting and close at 11:59 pm on June 17, 2018.
- Ad Hoc Election Committee (current ULAA members not running for a position) to work on vetting nominees between June 17th and 24th
- Voting is from June 25th - 11:59 pm, July 1st - You will receive another email with the vetted candidates for each position.
- Balloting ends on July 1st, giving the Ad Hoc Election Committee time to confirm the results by July 10th
- Our next meeting will be on July 10, 2018, to announce the next board.
