Board of Directors: July 1, 2019 - June 30, 2010
Letter from 2018 - 2020 President
Dear Bruins,
After five years of being our UCLA Latino Alumni Association Scholarship Board Chair, I am enthusiastic and proud to now step forward and lead this organization alongside a talented and diverse board as President. Each board member’s unique perspectives, experiences, and love for our alma mater, drives the passion we have for ULAA and the legacy we want to leave for the future. With your support, we will use this momentum to move ULAA closer to its mission of organizing Bruins for the benefit and advancement of the UCLA alumni, students, faculty, staff and broader Latino community.
The approximately 1,200 votes that came in serve as inspiration for the work ahead of us because it truly highlights the strength and spirit of UCLA’s Latino alumni community. ULAA is looking forward to expanding its programming to better engage and support the community and to elevate our scholarship endowment from $215,000 to $1 million by our 30th Anniversary in 2019. In the coming months, we will bring more programing to you, partner with community organizations and schools to increase our community impact, and enter into our third year of our OrgullOSO Mentor Program.
On behalf of the newly elected ULAA board of directors, I am thrilled to invite you to our upcoming meet and greet where you can get to know us personally, learn more about the organization, and share your vision of ULAA with us. You are an integral part of ULAA’s growth, and I look forward to your participation as you stay engaged with us for the benefit of current and future #LatinoBruins. As a volunteer-driven organization, ULAA is dependent upon your current support, and future leadership, to keep our legacy vibrant. If you would like to get involved with one of our committees, and/or inform us about programming you would like to see, please click here for our Volunteer and Event Interest Form.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
OrgullOSO of what is to come,
Soleil Delgadillo '09

Farewell Messages from the 2019-2020 Board
It has been truly an honor and privilege to have served you all as the Vice President of the UCLA Latino Alumni Association for the past 2 years. Today, our association is more relevant than before thanks to our committed board who has worked tirelessly in advancing our goals by providing mentorship, fundraising and networking, to name a few. I also want to recognize and show my appreciation to the UCLA Diversity Programs and Initiatives staff who provided the best support system to me and the board, and to our alumni for their financial contributions and active engagement along the way. I will cherish the friendships and memories that we have created and look forward to continuing my lifelong passion of giving back to the UCLA Latino Alumni Association. Go Bruins!

What I will miss most about the 2019-20 Board is volunteering with a group of amazing people. I looked forward to every board meeting, event, preparation meeting that allowed me to spend time with a group of wonderful, dedicated people that I will for sure keep in my life. Thank you ULAA for allowing me help in the best way I can, by being a nerd :) . Thank You

ULAA Membership Chair 2019/2020
As the University Relations Chair, one of my goals was to introduce current students to our Alumni Association.
By collaborating with the Latin Business Student Association (LBSA), Association of Latino Professionals for America ( ALPFA), Hermanos Unidos de UCLA, and Hermanas Unidas de UCLA we were able to host career nights, and coffee drives during finals. During the annual Latinx Admit weekend were able to match approximately 230 currently admitted students with latinx alumni who were interested in providing mentorship and guidance.
As the Latino Alumni Association, we look forward to sustaining these relationships with these student groups and also creating new relationships and collaborative events with the Latinx student groups that support our Latinx students on campus. Go Bruins!
Best Regards,

I have always enjoyed attending UCLA Latino Alumni events. And now, having served as a board member, I have a new appreciation for the passion and dedication that goes into the organization. Thank you to our community of more than 40,000 members for your love and support. I want to send a special shout out to the graduating Class of 2020—you’ve already experienced tremendous challenges. I look forward to continuing my support as you make your impact on our world. Go Bruins!!

This past year with the UCLA Latino Alumni Association has been an unforgettable experience. I feel honored to have served as Scholarship Chair and I thank my fellow board members for their trust and support. I also thank the Scholarship Committee for their continued dedication to our scholarship recipients. This year, we were able to program a number of fun events for our students, including our Scholar’s Hike in Griffith Park and Museum Day at LACMA! I hope many more of these types of events can continue next year and with a new cohort of amazing scholars.
